I've been privileged to be a public school educator as an English teacher and Instructional Literacy Coach for almost seven years; English Language Arts, literature, and all things grammar have been a consistent passion of mine since I was a child. That passion has led to my pursuit of a doctorate at Vanderbilt University as well as tasking myself with educating young scholars in middle and high school settings. I know too well the potential burdens of trying to write that "perfect" paper but needing a fresh pair of eyes to read and provide you with feedback; that is exactly why I want to assist you in polishing that paper or that project to get to an end result that leaves you proud of the final product. I'm here to offer my expertise to K-12 and graduate students as well as career-driven adults as they navigate their educational and/or work place.

What People Are Saying

“I am always grateful for the speed and quality of service of LaQuita's work. She values professionalism and customer connection, and it consistently shows in her work. There was a time I needed a project overviewed in a quick turn around; she was not only able to assist, she also provided professional recommendations that strengthened the project.”

— Jasmine A.

“I love doing business with the Polished Pen and have never been disappointed, and I've used them for many jobs. The two things I value the most is that LaQuita is a very fast worker and makes perfect corrections. She is all ears and doesn't do anything the client doesn't want done. Her approach is amazing, and I would do business with her over and over because she has shown me professionalism each time.”

“My experience with The Polished Pen has been nothing short of professional. LaQuita utilized her skill in revising and editing to transform my ideas and thoughts into a ‘polished’ and perfected masterpiece.”
